About Arundel Castle & Gardens
Arundel Castle has looked out over the River Arun for nearly a thousand years and is still the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk. Visitors can wander through grand interiors filled with furniture, tapestries and portraits, climb up to the medieval Keep, and visit the Fitzalan Chapel. Outside, around 40 acres of grounds include the Collector Earl's Garden, a stumpery, a rose garden and an organic kitchen garden. The castle opens seasonally from spring to autumn, and summer brings events such as open-air theatre. A visit pairs well with an afternoon in Arundel's independent shops and tearooms, a short walk from the entrance.
