About The Fountain Inn

The Fountain is a Grade II listed 16th-century pub in the village of Ashurst, a short drive north of Steyning. Inside you'll find low beams and a proper village-pub feel, and Harvey's Sussex Best is always on the bar. The family-run kitchen cooks a seasonal menu built on Sussex meat and fish, with vegetarian and vegan dishes, a children's menu and Sunday roasts. Outside there's a large garden with a duck pond, and the separate skittle alley is popular for private parties. Music fans may know that part of the video for Wings' 'Wonderful Christmastime' was filmed here in 1979.
